The Païolive wood

The Païolive wood nibbles at both banks of the river in the Chassezac gorges. This tangle of rocks and trees will captivate you. You’ll also discover the Arche du Chassezac, one of the three most beautiful natural arches in the Ardèche, along with the Arche du Pont d’Arc in Vallon Pont d’Arc and the Arche du ranc de l’Arc in the Ibie valley.

A magnificent climbing site

This is where children get their first taste of climbing in the fantastic rocks on the left bank of the Chassezac, just beside the Chassezac gorges between Casteljau and Les Vans. This beautiful climbing site is just downstream from the Agachou car park. Many thanks and congratulations to Noé, Hugo and Léone. On the other side of the river, the magnificent and magical Païolive wood.

Païolove wood route from the Mas de la Fontenette gite

Our guests live around 40 minutes away at Mas de la Fontenette, in Labastide de Virac, a magnificent gite for 6 people rated 4 stars by Gites de France. The infinity pool and wellness area (spa, sauna, exercise bike, table football) make this Ardèche gite a very popular place to stay. This holiday rental farmhouse includes a very large wooded plot of 3 hectares. This rental in the Ardèche immediately borders the Gorges de l’Ardèche nature reserve.
