The Bois de Paiolive is an exceptional hiking area in the south of the Ardèche, near the town of Les Vans.

Circuit de la Corniche
Distance: Approximately 4 km
Duration: 1h30 to 2 hours
Difficulty: Easy to Medium
Description: This panoramic trail runs along the cornice with breathtaking views over the Chassezac valley and gorges. You will pass through areas of dense forest and open clearings.
The Sentier de la Vierge
Distance: Approximately 3 km
Duration: 1h30
Difficulty: Easy
Description: A shorter, easier trail, ideal for families. It leads to the statue of the Virgin, with a magnificent view over the valley.
The Rock Labyrinth
Distance: Approximately 6 km
Duration: 2 to 3 hours
Difficulty: Medium
Description: This trail plunges you into the heart of a maze of rocks and limestone formations sculpted by erosion. A fascinating route, but one that can be difficult to follow without a map.
Practical advice
Equipment: Wear comfortable, sturdy hiking boots. Bring water, snacks and a trail map. A hat and sun cream are recommended in summer.
Safety: Trails can be slippery after rain. Be careful on rocky sections and stay on the marked trails.
Respect for the environment: Take your rubbish with you and respect the local flora and fauna. Avoid picking plants or disturbing animals.
